Champa works at developing digital technology for amateur radio. He has developed a way to send high-resolution images across radio waves.
"It's not very much different from high-definition television," Champa said.
All of his research is public domain. He hasn't requested a patent for any of it. Champa said he's only interested in advancing amateur radio for the next generation.
