I certainly pray that everyone out there is gearing up for the Canwarn / Skywarn season fast approaching. It's almost March, and you know what they say about March... "In like a lamb..."
Those of you interested in getting in on this very important public service are well advised to start looking up info on it right now, so that you'll be ready when the season starts.
For those who've already had some training in weather spotting, as I have, would do well to get a "refresher" course. We all forget things. It's nice to keep up on the latest info regarding the programs also.
Canadian residents interested in this should check out these pages:
For U.S. residents, here's a post from the Ham Links page regarding Skywarn training, thanks to Shannon KD8ATI:
Well its getting to be that season again. Yes that is right, severe weather season is upon us. For those of you who live in Canada, the above lniks has a link to Canada's "CanWarn" program/network. Well here in the U.S. the schedule for the "Skywarn" spotter classes has been set. If you are intrested in severe weather spotting on the skywarn nets on the ham bands you need to take this free class. Here is a link to the National Weather Service in Detroit for the list of skywarn classes in southeast Michigan...

Anyone having more info on Skywarn or Canwarn, please feel free to add it here. I will continue to search for more myself as well.
